What does outsourcing SEO cost in Belgium? (and why GEO often belongs with it)
Outsourcing SEO at ClickForest starts from €700 per month, SEO and GEO together from €950. What is included, when it costs more and what to ask an agency

Summary
- Outsourcing SEO at ClickForest starts from €700 per month, with no setup fees, a minimum term of three months and monthly cancellation after that
- SEO and GEO together start from €950 per month, less than two separate tracks, because the technical foundation is largely the same
- The price rises with size, languages, competition and technical condition, and that scope follows from a baseline measurement of your site
- First movement after 2 to 3 months, structural growth after 6 to 9 months, with a monthly report on rankings, traffic and conversions
- Good SEO does not automatically get you into AI answers: in our study of 200 Belgian websites, sites averaged 69.1 on SEO and 39.5 on AI visibility
- An audit from €595 is a one-off analysis with an action list and a 90-day roadmap, without implementation
When you contact an SEO agency and ask what it costs, you rarely get a figure straight away. First comes a meeting, then a quote. I find that an odd order for something you pay for every month. So here is the amount, right at the top: SEO at ClickForest starts from €700 per month, SEO and GEO together from €950. Below you will read what you get for that, when it costs more, what you can realistically expect and which questions to ask any agency before you sign. Even if that agency is not mine.
What does outsourcing SEO cost at ClickForest?
An SEO track at ClickForest costs from €700 per month, with no setup fees. After a minimum of three months it can be cancelled monthly. Those who take SEO and GEO together, as most clients do, start from €950 per month. ClickForest supports SMEs in Flanders with SEO and GEO from Bonheiden, near Mechelen, and Frederiek Pascal personally does the analysis, the writing and the follow-up. “From” means exactly what it says: the scope determines the final invoice, and what makes that scope larger is explained further on.
A published rate is the exception rather than the rule in this sector. When I reviewed fourteen agencies for our overview of Belgian GEO agencies, almost none published a rate, and the one offer with a price covered a narrow package per search term. The websites of most SEO agencies I looked at show no amount either. That is understandable, because no two websites need the same amount of work. Without a point of comparison, though, you cannot judge whether a meeting is worth your time, and that is why the entry price is simply stated here.
What is included in that monthly amount?
The monthly amount for SEO covers the full work, from analysis to report. In practice it looks like this:
| Component | What actually happens |
|---|---|
| Technical SEO | Speed, Core Web Vitals, indexing, schema markup and crawlability, reviewed with Screaming Frog, Ahrefs and Google Search Console. |
| Keyword research and strategy | Search terms, search intent and competition in your market, with priority for terms that drive revenue. |
| Content and copywriting | Reworking existing pages and writing new ones, aligned with what your audience actually searches for. |
| Link building and authority | Mentions and backlinks from relevant, authoritative websites. |
| Local SEO | Google Business Profile and local landing pages, for anyone looking for customers in their own region. |
| Reporting | A monthly report with rankings, traffic, conversions and the actions for the month after. |
On top of that, every retainer client gets a personal dashboard that brings together Google Analytics, Search Console and, where you use them, Google Ads, Meta Ads and Shopify. Every week a summary of the key figures lands in your inbox automatically. That dashboard costs nothing extra; it is part of the retainer price, as described on the page about how ClickForest works.
Who does the work matters at least as much as what it includes. At ClickForest, that is always the same person. There is no account manager passing on your question and no junior taking over the execution, so what you hear in the first conversation is also what happens afterwards. More on the approach on the page SEO at ClickForest.
When does an SEO track cost more than €700?
A track gets more expensive as more work goes into it, and that depends mainly on four things: the size of your site, the number of languages, the competition in your sector and the technical condition the site is in today.
Size. A service provider with ten pages needs less work than a webshop with hundreds of product pages, where every category needs its own search terms and its own content.
Languages. Every language is a market of its own with its own search behaviour. At BLSTR Sander, an entirely new product category, the SEO and GEO work runs continuously in several languages, and you feel that in the scope.
Competition. A local business competes with a handful of players in its own region. Those who sell nationally face large retailers with their own marketing teams, and then it takes longer to reach the top.
Technical condition. A slow site or a planned migration first needs repair work. At VF Bioscience, every old WordPress URL was redirected to the new site with a 301 redirect, so the rankings built up over time moved along.
What a concrete track costs therefore follows from a baseline measurement. Only once it is clear where your site stands today can I say how much work is needed.
What can you expect from an SEO track, and when?
You usually see the first movement after two to three months. Structural growth in rankings, traffic and enquiries takes six to nine months, depending on the competition, the quality of the site and the content you start from.
At caterer Bastiano in Bonheiden, structured data and SEO content delivered 35% more organic traffic, with a first position in Google for search terms such as “traiteur bonheiden” and “italiaan bonheiden”. That is the kind of result a track works towards: visibility on exactly the search terms behind which a customer sits.
SEO isn’t trickery, it’s making your website worthy of Google and AI. I build the technical foundation and the content that keeps ranking, even when the algorithm changes.
— Frederiek Pascal
Be wary of anyone who promises faster results, or a fixed position. Google says so itself in its guidance for businesses considering an SEO: no one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google. ClickForest does not do that either. What you get every month is a report with rankings, traffic, conversions and the actions for the month after.
What does GEO cost, and why does it often belong with SEO?
SEO and GEO together cost from €950 per month at ClickForest, and GEO on its own starts from €700. GEO, short for generative engine optimization, makes sure AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity understand your business and dare to name you in their answer. The term was introduced in 2023 in an academic paper by Aggarwal and colleagues. How GEO relates to classic SEO is covered in SEO versus GEO.
That ClickForest handles SEO and GEO together for Flemish SMEs has a measurable reason. In our study of 200 randomly selected Belgian websites, sites averaged 69.1 out of 100 on classic SEO and 39.5 on AI visibility. One site out of 200 scored 80 or more on GEO. And the better the SEO, the wider the gap: for sites from 90 on SEO, the difference rose to 45.9 points. ClickForest.com itself scores 100 out of 100 on those same twenty checks, although the site was deliberately left out of the sample. Where your own site stands on those signals is exactly what a GEO audit maps out.
Good SEO therefore does not automatically get you into AI answers. The foundation largely overlaps. The same structured data, the same complete Organization schema and the same clear question-and-answer structure help Google and language models alike. Whoever places SEO and GEO with two parties risks paying for that shared foundation twice. That is why the combination costs from €950 per month at ClickForest, less than two separate tracks together.
The audience is already there as well. According to the imec.digimeter of 2025, 43% of Flemish people use generative AI at least monthly.
The GEO part adds a fixed set of questions that is followed up structurally in ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. The foundation is usually in place after six to eight weeks: your company’s entity defined unambiguously, the schema in order and the key pages reworked around the questions your customers actually ask. GEO without SEO is possible too, from €700 per month, although it works more effectively on a strong SEO foundation. Details are on the page GEO at ClickForest.
How do you measure whether GEO delivers anything?
With a fixed list of questions your audience actually asks AI, and by structurally noting whether and how your business shows up in the answers.
On clickforest.com itself this is already visible. In our own Search Console, questions that sound like a prompt to an AI assistant show up in Belgium, and for several of them clickforest.com ranks on average between second and fourth place. Between 10 June and 9 September 2026, “welk belgisch seo agency zou je aanbevelen in 2025?” (which Belgian SEO agency would you recommend in 2025?) received 67 impressions at an average position of 3.1. “welk belgisch bedrijf biedt er generative engine optimization (geo) diensten aan?” (which Belgian company offers GEO services?) averaged 2.2, and “welk bureau kan een geo-audit uitvoeren voor mijn website?” (which agency can run a GEO audit for my website?) 3.7.
Such impressions rarely lead to a click. Their value lies in the moment itself: someone is drawing up a shortlist, and your name is on it.
Audit or track: what do you need?
An audit is a one-off analysis from €595; a track implements the improvements and follows them up monthly, from €700 per month.
The report of an SEO audit contains, per checkpoint, a substantiated finding, an estimate of the impact, a priority and a concrete action, plus a 90-day roadmap in which quick wins and structural work are listed separately. Depending on the scope, a comparison with two to three direct competitors is added. Your own team or another partner can get to work with that action list straight away. For AI visibility the same exists as a GEO audit, and a combined SEO and GEO audit costs less than two separate ones, because the research largely overlaps.
Many tracks start with such an audit as a baseline. Then you know up front what needs to happen, and I know how much work that is.
Which questions do you ask an SEO agency before you sign?
Google publishes its own list of questions for anyone considering an SEO, in the guidance “Do you need an SEO?”. Below is a selection, with the answer ClickForest gives. Feel free to put them to every agency you speak to.
| Question from Google's guidance, abridged | ClickForest's answer |
|---|---|
| Can you show me examples of your previous work and share some success stories? | Yes. Bastiano gained 35% more organic traffic, BLSTR Sander gets continuous SEO and GEO work in several languages, and Servaes Services was rebuilt with SEO and GEO and scores 95 out of 100 on PageSpeed mobile. |
| Do you follow the Google Search Essentials? | Yes. The approach rests on technology, content and authority, without tricks that fall over at the next update. |
| What kind of results do you expect to see, and in what timeframe? How do you measure your success? | First movement after 2 to 3 months, structural growth after 6 to 9 months. Success is measured in rankings, traffic and conversions, reported monthly. |
| What's your experience in my industry? | SMEs, e-commerce and B2B, from a caterer in Bonheiden to a biotech company with a four-language site. |
| What's your experience in my country or city? | Flanders, with local SEO for Antwerp and Mechelen through Google Business Profile and local landing pages. |
| What's your experience developing international sites? | VF Bioscience runs in English, French, Dutch and German, and clickforest.com itself in three languages. |
| How can I expect to communicate with you, and will you share all the changes you make to my site? | Directly with Frederiek Pascal, with a monthly report full of concrete action points and a dashboard that emails a summary every week. |
Also ask what happens when you stop. At ClickForest you remain the owner of your Google Analytics, Search Console, ad accounts and Shopify store, because ClickForest works with partner access. If you end the collaboration, you keep everything.
Doing SEO yourself or outsourcing it?
Doing it yourself is possible, certainly for a small local site, as long as you have the time to keep it up for months. SEO has no end date. Content, technology and authority need attention every month, and the result only comes after months.
If you want to try it yourself, start with the keyword research guide and the explanation of local SEO in Belgium. For the technical side of structured data there is the JSON-LD guide. If you also advertise, read how to align SEO and SEA.
In doubt? Measure first. An SEO audit from €595 gives you a complete action list for the whole site, which your own team can work through as well.
Keep the difference with building your site in mind too. What having a website built or having a webshop built costs is a one-off investment. SEO and GEO are a monthly one, so they do not add up to one amount.
Conclusion: what does outsourcing SEO and GEO cost?
With me, outsourcing SEO costs from €700 per month. SEO and GEO together, the way most clients do it, start from €950. What it ends up at depends on the size of your site, the number of languages, the competition and the technical condition, and you only know that after a measurement.

Frequently asked questions
ClickForest works with SMEs in Flanders on a fixed entry price: SEO from €700 per month and SEO and GEO together from €950 per month, with no setup fees and cancellable monthly after a minimum of three months. That is the exception: of the fourteen Belgian GEO agencies ClickForest reviewed, almost none published a rate.
An SEO audit is a one-off analysis with a finding, a priority and a concrete action per checkpoint, at ClickForest from €595. An SEO track also implements those improvements and follows them up monthly, from €700 per month. The audit is therefore a different product and not a cheaper version of the track.
No. Google writes in its own guidance for anyone hiring an SEO that no one can guarantee a #1 ranking. In ClickForest's practice, you usually see first movement after two to three months and structural growth after six to nine months.
For most businesses, yes, because good SEO does not automatically get you into AI answers. In ClickForest's study of 200 Belgian websites, sites averaged 69.1 out of 100 on SEO and 39.5 on AI visibility. The foundation largely overlaps, which is why ClickForest handles SEO and GEO for SMEs in Flanders as one track, from €950 per month.
Start by measuring where your site stands today. An SEO audit from €595 gives a complete action list for the whole site, and a no-obligation introductory call shows which track fits. With that baseline you know up front what work is needed and what a track realistically costs.
