How a thorough CRO audit, data analysis and well-considered advertising campaigns helped an emerging padel brand accelerate towards profitable scalability in Europe.

About the collaboration

"Bold Padel had proven that there was demand for premium padel overgrips in the Benelux and Spain. Our mission was crystal clear: structurally lower the Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and increase webshop conversion, in order to successfully scale into international markets."

Challenge: An e-commerce start-up with a strong product (sweat-absorbing, durable overgrips) that needed to acquire new customers more profitably and maximise the overall conversion rate of the shop to be ready for growth.

Approach: A Complete Growth Package: starting with a CRO and data audit, followed by a data-driven Meta Ads structure for Spain, and completed with automated Seguno email flows for customer retention.

Foundation built with CRO & data analysis

Before scaling the advertising campaigns, we extensively analysed the existing Shopify webshop. We mapped the user journey, screened the checkout flow and evaluated the persuasiveness of copywriting and calls-to-action.

Even a small increase in conversion rate makes an enormous difference in return on paid traffic. By removing obstacles first, we laid a strong foundation. Only then does every euro spent on campaigns perform at its best.

International campaign scalability (Meta Ads)

To activate growth in Southern Europe, we built a completely new Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram) proposition for the Spanish padel market. We structured the targeting into two clear flows: major cities (Madrid & Barcelona) for volume, and premium hotspot regions (Málaga & Marbella) for highly targeted intent.

We used Meta's most modern formats such as Flexible Ads, where the algorithm dynamically tests dozens of product images, headlines and texts to surface the best-performing combination. We also implemented a watertight retargeting strategy to automatically win back visitors who were still hesitating (view content, abandoned cart) in the 180 days after their first visit.

Marketing automation for maximum lifetime value

Padel overgrips are a consumable product by nature. Acquiring new customers is step one; retaining them and getting them to return is the key to growth. That is why we activated a structured email marketing strategy.

Via Seguno we set up various automated flows: from powerful welcome flows for prospects to an abandoned checkout flow that converts hesitators, and repeat purchaser emails that encourage existing customers to make new purchases as their previous batch of grips starts running low.
